What will appear in Mriia this school year?

Teachers will check work and assign grades on the web portal. Pupils and parents will see the up-to-date status of assignments.

Starting this new school year, new capabilities will appear in Mriia for pupils, teachers, and parents. Schoolchildren will be able to submit homework in the app, and parents will be able to notify the school online about a child's absence.

The entire homework workflow will be gathered in Mriia: from receiving assignments to submission, checking, and grading. Pupils and teachers will no longer need to switch between chats, cloud storage, and other services.

The new functionality will be launched step by step. In September, around 200 schools will test it, after which it will be made available to all educational institutions using Mriia.

From the start of the school year, parents will also be able to report a child's absence through Mriia. To do this, it is sufficient to specify the period and reason for the absence in the app — an electronic application will automatically be sent to the class teacher. Writing and submitting a separate paper application will no longer be necessary.

Ahead of the school year, tools for teachers and school administrations were also updated in Mriia. In the syllabus planning section, educators will be able to add homework to lessons in advance.

In addition, administrations received an updated schedule builder with automatic generation. It takes into account teacher and classroom availability, the bell schedule, classroom settings, and certain health and sanitation requirements. An initial version of the timetable can be generated in a few minutes, then reviewed and refined if necessary.

Today, over 4,600 schools across Ukraine use Mriia. Connecting to and using the system is free of charge for educational institutions, teachers, pupils, and parents.

To connect an educational institution to Mriia, the headteacher or deputy headteacher can submit an application on the Mriia website.

Mriia is an initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine jointly with Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation with support from Switzerland.
