Tax discount now in Diia: claim a refund on part of your expenses in just a few steps

Submitting a declaration of property status and income for individuals, as well as applying for a tax discount, is now available on the Diia portal.

The service is available for citizens who:

• must declare their income for the previous year;
• sold real estate or a car;
• received income from investments;
• are entitled to a tax discount (refunds for tuition, mortgage, or insurance).

Applications for the 2025 tax discount can be submitted until 31 December 2026.

How to obtain the service

1. Log in to the Diia portal using a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES).
2. Find the service "Tax declaration of property status and income for individuals". Verify the details and click "Send data" to obtain a certificate from the State Tax Service.
3. Indicate what exactly you want to do: declare income or apply for a tax discount.
4. Verify the data: Diia will automatically pull information about your real estate, car, and income. If any data is missing, add it manually.
5. Upload the documents: scanned copies of contracts or receipts to confirm your expenses.
6. Review the generated declaration, sign it with a QES, and submit it.

The service is implemented jointly with the State Tax Service of Ukraine and supported by the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation.
