Diia will notify users about the cancellation of their registered place of residence
From now on, users will instantly know if their registered place of residence is cancelled — push notifications will be sent automatically to the Diia app.
Previously, such changes were communicated by paper letters, which could get lost or arrive late. As a result, people often found out about the issue at the most inconvenient time — while applying for services or receiving benefits. Now Diia will inform users immediately about any changes.
A registered place of residence may be cancelled in the following cases:
-
due to a violation of the law by a registrar — if the registration was done incorrectly and turned out to be duplicated;
-
the passport used for registration was found to be invalid or unlawfully issued;
-
there is a court decision requiring the cancellation of the residence registration.
Push notifications will be received by all users aged 14 and older, provided their data and taxpayer identification number are included in the Territorial Community Register.
We therefore recommend updating your data if needed — this can be done in just a few clicks via the Diia portal.
Please note: notifications will be sent only about changes that occur after the launch of the new service.
The project was developed with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation, in collaboration between the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, and the State Enterprise ‘Document’.
