Over 611 thousand families have used the eMaliatko service in Diia
More than 611,000 applications have already been submitted through the comprehensive eMaliatko service in Diia. This is an opportunity to apply for several essential services immediately after a child's birth using a single application.
Financial support is the most frequently requested service. Specifically, over 469,000 applications concern child birth allowance, while more than 232,000 relate to monetary compensation in lieu of a "baby box" (Newborn Package).
At the same time, eMaliatko allows other matters to be resolved without additional visits. With a single application, one can:
🔹register the child's birth;
🔹apply for citizenship;
🔹obtain a Taxpayer Identification Number and a Unique Record Number in the Unified State Demographic Register;
🔹enter data into the Patient Register.
Please note: parents can use the service if the child was born in Ukraine and does not yet have a birth certificate. Both parents must be citizens of Ukraine.
The service can be completed online or offline. To submit an application via the Diia portal, you need to:
🔹log in;
🔹fill out the form;
🔹sign it with an electronic signature.
To apply, you will need the number of the medical birth certificate issued by a doctor or a court decision if the child was born in a temporarily occupied territory.
If the parents are not married or have different surnames, both must sign the application. It is then forwarded to the Civil Registry Office. You will be notified when the certificate is ready.
The service is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Health, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, and the State Tax Service of Ukraine, with the support of Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program implemented by East Europe Foundation, the Estonian e-Governance Academy (EGA) within the Egov4Ukraine project (implemented as part of the U-LEAD with Europe programme), EU4PAR, and SURGe with the support of the Government of Canada.
