Dormitory Residence Registration for University Students Now Available via Diia

Students can now register their place of residence in a university dormitory through Diia — no queues at administrative service centers and no unnecessary paperwork.

Previously, students had to sign a dormitory contract, deregister from their previous address, collect a full package of documents, and bring it to an administrative service center. This process took a lot of time and effort.

This new service was developed with support of Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation.

Now, to register residence in a university dormitory, just a few clicks on the Diia portal are enough:

  • log in to the Diia portal;

  • in your account, go to: “Services” → “Change of residence”;

  • select your educational institution and the dormitory where you want to register, and check your personal information;

  • if needed, add the contract number and signing date;

  • sign the application with Diia.Signature or a qualified electronic signature (QES).

After the application is approved by an authorized representative of the university, pay the service fee and wait for a decision from the residence registration authority.

Who can use this service?
Students who are not subject to military service, have a taxpayer identification number (RNOKPP), and have signed a dormitory residence contract.

The first wave of educational institutions has already been technically connected to the service — currently 23 institutions. You can view the list here. More universities will be added gradually.

You can also watch a video tutorial on how to use the service.

This project is implemented by EGAP Program, executed by East Europe Foundation with support of the Government of Switzerland, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, and SE “Document”.
