The service for registering LLCs based on a model charter was launched on the Diia portal in 2020. For more than a year it worked with the involvement of the state registrar. To reduce the load on registrars, prevent corruption and for user convenience, the EGAP Program and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine developed a mechanism for automatic LLC registration.

Our Contribution is dividing the registration service into two branches if one of five triggers is activated. For example, the LLC name contains words forbidden by law, the LLC founders are legal entities and the LLC director’s activity is restricted. If these triggers are activated, an LLC registration will be sent to the state registrar for review. If there are none of the five triggers, the LLC will be automatically registered by the system. 

The service was launched on Ukraine’s Independence Day in 2022. Since then, the share of decisions made by the system in favor of more LLCs is over 60 percent of all decisions rendered.
