For Whom?

For everyone interested in humanitarian demining in Ukraine: citizens returning to de-occupied territories; farmers planning to resume work on previously mined areas; mine action operators; individuals affected by explosive ordnance; international partners; media representatives; and all relevant government agencies involved in this field.

Goal

Today, Ukraine is one of the most heavily mined countries in the world. Approximately a quarter of its territory is potentially contaminated — over 138,000 sq. km. To coordinate the efforts of various mine action participants, the national platform "Demine Ukraine" has been created. This is a unique resource with all essential information that will help in comprehensively addressing challenges related to the contamination of Ukraine with explosive ordnance. Previously, such a resource did not exist in Ukraine, and data was dispersed. Now, on the web portal, all parties interested in mine action can easily and quickly find up-to-date data on humanitarian demining in Ukraine. Specifically, those affected by explosive ordnance will be able to learn about the types of assistance they are entitled to. Mine action operators will be able to familiarize themselves with the conditions required to obtain relevant permits. Farmers will learn how to obtain documents allowing them to purchase, transport, destroy, and store explosive materials. International organizations and government institutions will see the current status of important initiatives and progress in each direction. The portal also provides access to news, events, and up-to-date data on cleared land areas, infrastructure, and the number of operators and demining machines.
