Objective

Make the COVID-certificate process fast and convenient. To enable Ukrainians to use digital documents and travel or visit public institutions without carrying extra documents with them.

COVID-certificates are officially recognized in the European Union and can be used to travel abroad. They are generated on the basis of a full course of vaccination, past illness and a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction, or PCR, test result for coronavirus.

The certificate launch in the Diia application became possible thanks to upgrading the e-Health system and systematic physician training.

The project was implemented by the Ministries of Digital Transformation and Health and the National Health Service with support of the EGAP program and implemented by East Europe Foundation. The project is funded by the Government of Switzerland and Delegation of the European Union in Ukraine, the EU4DigitalUA project. We support technical development of certificates, physician training and project management.
