GovTech MeetUp: partnerships and international market expansion
How can Ukrainian GovTech teams enter international markets and find partners abroad? This was discussed during the MeetUp 'Connecting Ukrainian GovTech Internationally', organised by Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv and GovTech Alliance of Ukraine.
Participants shared practical experience working with international partners, participating in consortia, and preparing applications for international projects.
Oleksandra Radchenko, E-Democracy and Youth Policy Project Manager at EGAP Program, spoke about preparing international GovTech applications. In particular, she covered how to take into account the needs and specifics of the target market, form a consortium, and work with the requirements of international calls for proposals.
Kateryna Frolova, CEO of Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv, Daria Kutsenko, CBDO of MK-consulting, and Oleksandr Yefremov, CEO of Kitsoft, spoke about partnerships with governments, working in international consortia, and the expansion of Ukrainian teams into new markets.
The speakers emphasised that work with international markets should begin even before a specific project emerges. In particular, searching for partners in advance, studying the market, and having a clear understanding of the expertise the team can offer.
Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv (GGTC) was created on the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the World Economic Forum with assistance from EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation with support from Switzerland.
