Digital services for entrepreneurs: over 900,000 Ukrainians opened FOP online

More than 900,000 people in Ukraine have opened their own sole proprietorship (FOP) online through the Diia portal. Thanks to the automatic registration of FOP, the process now takes only a few minutes — without queues, paperwork, or visits to state institutions. The service is available to anyone who has a qualified electronic signature.

Residents of large cities and industrial regions are the most active — Kyiv city, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Kyiv regions.

Women prevail among the new entrepreneurs — 56% compared to 44% of men. This demonstrates that digital services open up equal opportunities for everyone who wants to start their own business.

More information about the service is available on the Diia portal. It includes a step-by-step video instruction that will help one easily complete everything online.

The service was implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine within the framework of EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation with the support of Switzerland.
